A tale of two newsletters
It's very cold in my part of the world now - ideal weather for curling up under a blanket with a book and a hot drink!
Writing news
I’ve just celebrated 1 month since launching They Lie Here. It’s quite difficult to get ratings and reviews for indie books in particular, so I always try to emphasise how much reviews are appreciated. I’ve recently had a Black Friday sale for my first book We Watch You. I may do a sale in the New Year for They Lie Here… watch this space! This week I launched a very exciting project - The Indie Books & Authors Newsletter! The aim is to celebrate and promote indie authors by highlighting some new releases (in multiple genres). I won’t say too much about it here as I’ve described it elsewhere, but I encourage you to subscribe and, if you enjoy the Newsletter, spread the word!
Blog news
I had over 2,500 views on the blog in November, which is a record! It was partly due to my calling for submissions for the above Newsletter - I had asked indie authors to Direct Message me on Twitter, but I underestimated how much interest there’d be and when DMs stopped working, I pointed people to the contact page on my blog instead. I’ve also had a spike in email followers of my blog posts (which may or may not be related), but anyhow I have over 3,500 now, for which I’m very grateful.

The Crown, season 1. I’m late to the party on this one! It’s strange that I’ve only begun watching it after Queen Elizabeth II has passed away.

Wide Eyed Nowhere, the latest album from Turin Brakes. A few of these new songs were included in the setlist at the gig I attended this year.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading - see you next time!
